FOR NICU FAMILIES

Loving a baby you can't just pick up whenever you want to.

In-home feeding care for NICU families, from your last days in the unit through your first months at home.

Serving Covington, the Northshore, and select New Orleans neighborhoods.

The smallest touch. The deepest love.

The In-Between

That ache doesn't disappear the moment you're discharged. It turns into a different kind of hard. A new schedule with no shift change. A discharge feeding plan you're now running on your own. Cues you already know, without a monitor beside them. And a body that's been holding on this whole time, finally allowed to exhale.

Care That Starts Before Discharge Day

The Homecoming is built for that in-between.

If we meet while your baby is still in the unit, my first visit is about you: your milk supply, your breast health, and a feeding plan for discharge day, so you walk out of that unit ready, not just relieved. If you find me after you're already home, we start right where you are.

Once you're home, the visits that follow are about the two of you together, in your own home, with your own chair, your own bottles, and your own pump. We take the plan the hospital sent you home with and turn it into one that fits your baby and your family.

And because the hardest feeding problems after a NICU stay often show up weeks after discharge, not days, your access to me doesn't end when the visits slow down. It runs a full five months.

NICU care, built for you.

The Homecoming

From your last days in the unit to life at home, with five months of support behind you.

The Homecoming is concierge care built only for NICU babies and their families. It carries you across the whole transition, from protecting your supply while your baby is still in the unit to finding your footing once you're finally home together.

  • 4 in-home visits, starting before or after your baby comes home, and timed to when feeding actually changes
  • 5 months of 24/7 access to me, starting at your first visit. Book while your baby is still in the unit, and support is already in place on discharge day
  • A written care plan, updated after every visit, so each one builds on the last
What We'll Cover
  • Your health history, your birth, and your baby's NICU stay. Your medical history, how delivery went, and everything your baby has been through since: how early they arrived, their time in the unit, how they've been fed, and the discharge plan you're bringing home. We start there, not at the latch.
  • Your milk supply, protected. Pump schedule, flange fit, output, and what to do if your supply dips while your baby is still in the unit.
  • Your own breast health and recovery. Catching a plugged duct or early mastitis before it becomes something bigger, and checking in on how you're really doing after the hospital days.
  • Your discharge-day feeding plan, fortified feeds included. Volumes, schedule, and hands-on help fortifying your milk at home, so the plan your NICU team sent you home with is one you can actually run.
  • Weighted feeds and growth checks. Before-and-after weights in your home, so you can see how much milk your baby is taking in and how they're growing between pediatric visits.
  • A full oral and body assessment. An RN and IBCLC checks oral function, muscle tone, and body tension. Babies who start in the NICU often feed differently, and this is where we find out why.
  • Breast, bottle, or both, on your terms. Paced bottle feeding, combination feeding, and, if more feeds at the breast is part of your goal, the hands-on work to get there across more than one visit.
  • A care team that talks to each other. I work alongside your pediatrician and your baby's NICU follow-up clinic, and if something calls for another specialist, I'll connect you with providers I know and stay in the loop so your care stays coordinated.
Visit Breakdown

Every visit builds on the one before it. Across five months, your care works as one plan, from the unit to your living room.

  • Visit 1: Where you are. If your baby is still in the NICU, this visit is about you: your supply, your breast health, and a feeding plan ready for the day you bring your baby home. If your baby is already home, it's a full assessment of you and your baby together, a weighted feed, and a plan for feeding at home.
  • Visit 2: Home, together. If we met in the unit, this is soon after discharge: a full assessment of you and your baby together, a weighted feed, and a plan for feeding at home without a monitor beside you. If we started at home, this is where we see what held and adjust.
  • Visit 3: Refining. Once you've settled in. We check growth, see what held, and adjust. If you're working toward more feeds at the breast, this is where that work picks up.
  • Visit 4: Looking ahead. Timed for the shifts that tend to surface weeks after discharge. We confirm what's working and plan for what's next, like returning to work, changes in your baby's feeding, and whatever you want to feel ready for.

Timing flexes to what your baby needs. If something comes up early, the next visit moves up with it.

VIP Features

5 Months of 24/7 Access

Because the questions don't stop at discharge. Often, that's when they start.

  • Text me anytime, day or night. Questions, photos, a video of a feed that looks off: send it through secure messaging whenever it comes up. Non-urgent messages are answered between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Urgent? Call me, any hour. If something can't wait until morning, you don't have to wait until morning to get an answer.
  • It can start before your baby comes home. Access begins at your first visit, so if we meet while your baby is still in the unit, you already have someone to call on discharge day.
  • The same person, every time. I know your baby's NICU history, your discharge plan, and what we tried last visit, so you never start over. And when advice from family, friends, and the internet starts to conflict, you have one clinical voice you can trust to sort through it.

For a medical emergency, always call 911 first.
